Expert Panel to Identify Research Needs for Assessing Safe Use of High Intakes of Folic Acid

The US Department of Health and Human Services National Toxicology Program (NTP) has announced that it will convene an Expert Panel Meeting on Identifying Research Needs for Assessing Safe Use of High Intakes of Folic Acid.

The meeting will be held at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, on May 11-12, 2015.

The deadline for written public comment submission and registration for oral comments is May 4, 2015. 

The deadline for registration for individuals with disabilities who need accommodation to participate is May 4, 2015.

This topic is of great interest to me because I am interested in preventing congenital heart defects as well as NTDs and the current recommended levels of FA may be too low for optimal CHD prevention.
