US FDA Requests Nomination for Industry Representatives on Public Advisory Committees

In a recent Federal Register notice, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that it is requesting nominations for industry representatives and participation from industry organizations on Public Advisory Committees for the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER). A listing of the committees to which US FDA intends to add a nonvoting industry representative is provided in this Federal Register notice.

Any industry organization interested in participating in the selection of an appropriate nonvoting member to represent industry interests must send a letter stating that interest to US FDA by May 15, 2015. A nominee may either be self-nominated or nominated by an organization to serve as a nonvoting representative. Nominations will be accepted for current vacancies effective with this notice. Nomination materials for prospective candidates should be sent to US FDA by May 15, 2015.
