Leveraging Chemistry Information Through Novel and Emerging Informatics Approaches

NATIONAL CENTER FOR COMPUTATIONAL TOXICOLOGY

Brief description of research project: This research project has the goal of structuring and integrating existing Agency data and models to the wider community via EPA databases and web-applications, thus facilitating ready access, and enabling data mining and integration approaches. Specific activities will include exploiting existing ontologies to afford efficiency in data integration across and from distributed data sources including information extracted through text mining approaches. This work will therefore require the integration of existing systems and data, development of new models and delivery tools for use to the community, collaborating with external parties for data access/integration to promote greater awareness of EPA tools.
