Dear Teratology Society Members,
As you know, the Teratology Society recently held a Special Election. The ballot consisted of two outstanding candidates running for Vice President-Elect, and I am pleased to announce the results.
Please join me in congratulating Alan Hoberman as Vice President-Elect of the Teratology Society. Alan’s term begins effective immediately. In the spring, he will begin the process of planning the Teratology Society’s 57th Annual Meeting which will be held in Denver, Colorado, in June 2017.
Many thanks to Sue Makris. We are very grateful for Sue’s hard work on behalf of our Society and her willingness to run for elected office. I am happy to report that Sue will succeed Chris Lau, as Chair of the Society’s Public Affairs Committee next summer, and as such we will welcome her to Council as an ex-officio member at that time. We look forward to Sue’s continued involvement and leadership in the Society.
Thank you also to the volunteers on our Nominations and Elections Committee for producing such an excellent ballot.
With warm regards,
Tacey E.K. White, PhD
