Research Scientist Supervisor I (Epidemiology/Biostatistics) - California Department of Public Health

Overview: Under the general direction of the Division Chief, the Research Scientist Supervisor (RSS) I serves as Chief of the California Birth Defects Monitoring Program (CBDMP). Provides scientific and supervisory leadership related to birth defects and the birth defects registry, data linkage and research. Provides the overall management, guidance and leadership to both state and contract staff to ensure that the program operates and functions in the most efficient manner possible. The RSS I is responsible for the management of surveillance and studies conducted by the CBDMP, including the overall supervision of CBDMP staff, training, and implementing the CBDMP functions in accordance with the policies and procedures established by CDPH.

Location: The Chief of the CDBMP will be based at the CDPH Marina Bay Parkway Campus, Richmond, CA. The City of Richmond is part of the San Francisco Bay Area and our location is about 16 minutes away from downtown San Francisco.
