Assistant Professor, Anatomy - University of Toronto

The Division of Anatomy, Department of Surgery in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto St. George campus invites applications for a teaching-stream position, at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream. The appointment start date is July 1, 2017.

Qualified applicants must have a PhD in an anatomy-related field by the date of the appointment, or shortly thereafter. Applicants who also have a clinical professional degree (eg. MD, DDS) and experience in a clinical setting will be strongly considered. A demonstrated record of excellence in teaching at the university level is required as demonstrated through teaching accomplishments, awards and accolades, the teaching portfolio and student evaluations submitted as part of the application, as well as strong endorsements from referees of high standing. The successful applicant must have experience as a course instructor, a record of excellence in teaching in both small and large enrolment classroom and laboratory settings, teaching-related activities such as curriculum development and student mentoring, and a demonstrated interest in teaching-related scholarly activity.

Appointments at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream may be renewed annually to a maximum of six years. In the sixth year of service an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream shall be reviewed.
