Epidemiologist - Texas Birth Defects Registry, Austin, Texas

Under the minimal supervision of the Director and with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment, performs highly advanced and/or managerial (senior-level) epidemiological work in the field of birth defects. Participates in population-based epidemiologic analyses and research on birth defects. Coordinates data requests and assists with IRB submissions involving information from the Texas Birth Defects Registry (TBDR). Participates in data quality and data cleaning activities. Oversees cluster investigations. Performs other duties as assigned.  Location: Austin, TX.  Annual salary range: $55,100 - $72,780.
