#IamTeratology at the Teratology Society's 56th Annual Meeting

I would like to encourage you to take and share photographs at the Teratology Society’s 56th Annual Meeting which begins this weekend in San Antonio. Please post photos on Facebook and/or Twitter and use the hashtag #IamTeratology. Alternatively, feel free to email photos to TSHQ@teratology.org. Photos received via email may be used on social media or as part of a slide show to be shared with members and the public. (Please note that photos may not be taken during scientific session presentations, and please ask permission from the poster presenter if you wish to take a photo that includes his/her scientific data on a poster in the background.)

Also, I urge you to visit the Teratology Society Social Media booth during the Welcome Reception or a Poster Session and have your picture taken holding your own personalized white board message about what you do in the field of birth defects research. These photos will be used in our #IamTeratology social media campaign to show the diversity of our members and the good work you do in laboratories, hospitals, government agencies, and the field.

Finally, I encourage nonmember attendees to apply for membership in our Society. Because you paid the nonmember registration fee, you are eligible for a free year of Teratology Society membership (Regular or Associate) provided that you apply by July 15, 2016 and your application is approved. Find out more and apply at the Teratology Society Membership Booth or apply online.

I look forward to seeing you soon at what promises to be a very informative and fun annual meeting!
