NCEA is responsible for scientific assessment activities related to the health effects of chemical pollutants in the IRIS (Integrated Risk Information System) program, as well as in the development of Integrated Science Assessments for the major air pollutants.
The Senior Scientist II, Toxicology is in the Toxicology line function within the Preclinical Safety group. This role designs, conducts and reports GLP and non-GLP Toxicology studies in support of drug submissions to regulatory agencies.
Working out of the Drug Development Division in Birmingham, Alabama, this position is responsible for providing general research support in the DART laboratories and will also be responsible for leading a team of less experienced research assistants.

This position will provide Disposition, Safety and Animal Research Department (DSAR) a wide range of support associated with the Safety Pharmacology and Toxicology needs on Discovery and Development Project Teams for Sanofi Group (e.g. R&D, Genzyme, Pasteur) projects.
